I enjoyed lots of moments here, being called as photographer of the team is one of them. May be because I love to capture moments. But I like to say the best photograph of mine was clicked by Amar. I like to thank everyone who helped me in enhancing my career prospects, my professional responsibilities and personal life.

I learnt lot many things at this place, a few are tangibles and most of them are intangible. Some I can disclose some I can't.

I would like to say a few words of thanks to my Manager's manger Mr. Hemant who pull me on COLT boat about two years back with lot of promises. I delivered some of them.

My Supervisor Mr. Sandip, I really like to a cool person like him someday, but no two can be identical. He helps me to understand myself better. I thank him for being benevolence, responsible and keeping trust on me.

Anil is special to me as he keep inspiring me, to be a techie guy and stimulating my " Honda love challenges, Rankesh too" attitude. I like to thanks for his guidance and being torch bearer of technical frontier.

If I have a senior person in COLT team, I would like to hang with Amar without any regret. He I good listener and able to pull himself down to understand your feelings.

The dev team which includes, once to be my best friend in COLT Ajay, the hard working champ Renuka, support to dev expert Anuj, need no introduction Chavvi and little less known to me Priyanka give me ample opportunity to learn the Ins and Outs of Integration problems.

I like to say best of luck and achieve the best to my dear support team which includes Ravi, the laid back genius , Manjul, Punit, Alok and Rajat. I really share some excellent time with Ravi, which are unforgettable. Rest are keep themselves busy with work which gave me minimal time to know and interact. So hard to say something more.

Last but not least, My favourite Person in COLT, Mr. Vijesh Gauba. Although I have some bitter sweet moment with him, but I can't afford to lose his guidance and encouragement. He is a part of my COLT journey since starting.

Thanks for being patience and attentive. Thanks to all for tolerating me as your team member for last two years. Good luck and with best wishes, I would like to sign off from COLT.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ranxs7.blogspot.com/2009/01/adieu-colt.html' title='Adieu ... It all about politics, greed and injustice. I am not putting an understatement or an overstatement. Everyone in our life face a tough situation here and there, particularly in career, when you are in dire need of change.

For a few days I am at crossroads of my career, but it is fiddling in my senior manager hands. It seems that I need to eat my words again.

Let clear the cloud before I put the whole story here. I have an offer from an excellent company, something sort of dream company. The best place place to grow, learn and finally earn. But my current senior manager playing a game of cat and mouse with my career. He is influencing my prospect employer. It appear to be cheap that a senior person is stopping me to grow and learn.

Situation is like catch 22, My current manager should agree then only things can proceed. This fight of Ego-ism is not new, probably lot many ex-colleague of this team might have faced in past.

I believe life come in full circle, sooner or later. I am not impatient this time. Will watch and proceed. I will wait for the time when i speak and people listen. Till then prepare hard and hold your nerves. At the end either I die hard or land on one's feet. so keep walking .....

I think I should move on ...

A very hectic day at office and a fight on phone leads to a slight depression. Things are going good but the expectation and results are not matching to make myself happy. I taken my laptop and started soliloquy.

Thoughtfully, the day has come when I decided to leave my current organization. My expectation and my career prospects are not in driver's hand. I should took the charge and press the accelerator hard. I contended that I had no future at my current company. It tough to survive a technical person in such environment. I try to ameliorate the surroundings through various initiatives but all went into cold bag. People who involved in skullduggery can never be faithful. A strong feeling of alienation around all day started making me inefficient. Some beautiful faces hide their imbecility and fake their work, even able to ditch punctilious managers, while docile person is over burdened with work. More you work more you get!!. Some people around are expert in presenting fallacious excuses to hide from responsibilities. They have develop tact to deal with every scenario. Appraisals and awards are not given as what someone deserts, sometime it is influenced by personal relationship. In office most of the appraises are either understated or overstated depends who is speaking about whom. Person acquiesced a truth but can't avow an injustice.

Missing hindsight and the proliferation of Interfaces are a few things which stressed me at professional end lot in previous six months. We all adapt to our assigned monotonous jobs but a few adept ourselves to new challenges. I want to be maverick and jump off the office protocols one day, putting my papers most visible way.

Jinx for a day

On fine morning of March 7, 2008, the ordeal of a jinx loomed around me when i missed my office cab. The rickshaw charged me more than the regular fare, as i was not in mood to negotiate hard perhaps rickshawala read the urgency on my face. End result of the journey, i reached office late.
The surrounding was getting fester by the mangers and peers from last few days. I was in pack with work and busy like Hell. But managers understand one block of the whole excel sheet "the end date". "Some time you miss some deadlines because of some other deadlines". I bet, Management teach you one thing for sure. How to make a mountain out of a molehill.
After a hot day in air conditioned office, i started my journey to New Delhi Railway Station. As there was a deviation in cab-route, so i took help of a colleague. An alien -in-the-cab look from cab mates was natural. The worst part of the journey was the introduction to cab members and their surmounting questions. Finally they got to recognize me, referring to my long hairs. They inquire about my long hair, that made me pity. I was in need of peace, but the management chat among cab members drag me in nostalgia of CAT failure.
After one and an half hour journey on Delhi Roads, i reached near Delhi Railways station. After a ten min brisk walk, I reached My starting point of weekend journey. The best place which gives you an example to define chaos and that is l!ve. I don't want to pay a fee to pick-pocketer of coming to this bedlam. So i carefully i put my mobile and purse in my front pocket and make way to check the status of my darling train. The affection was generous, as i need a comfy bed and a sleep that relax my neurons and keep myself away from familiar EXCEL studded faces.
After understanding the display system, i tried to figure out why my train name is not displaying in departure list. A familiar number is heard in crowd " 2402 is over 10 hours late, it will now leave platform 4 at 02:30 next day". Our ears are very receptive and it has an excellent noise filter, so you always get the needed information among different sounds.
I called DAD, to get a confirmation to put the plan in Bin. Dad suggested me some old trick to get board different train, perhaps he was not aware about the Indian Railways turn around. I don't want to grease TT palm as well increase the Railway revenue even Rail Budget proposed a cut in fairs. In between one blue-colored guy shouted for Gurgaon. Trip Cancellation was not finalized so i don't want to take decision hastily, what i am habitual of doing. Finally after 4-5 calls Dad agreed to call off train itinerary.
I call my one of 24*7 online friends to book a ticket on a low cost airline ticket after boarding a Delhi blue line. But no one can fight Mr. Fate. He already decided my day, so he put a notice on computer screen "All sold out". The blue line travel is unique in itself, I was sweating inside the bus, cleaning my face every 15 mins even though the outside temperature was comfortable 23 C, as i read on one of the hanging pollution meter of ONGC office. Adolescent school punishment was gone long back, but history repeats itself, what i felt after a long two hour journey.
I pampered myself with fragrance of shower gel in half an hour shower on reaching home and sit in front of my computer to pen a blog about the one of the worst day in my life.
